Automation & Controls Technician

This is an opportunity to work with advanced production equipment, solve challenging technical problems, and play a direct role in keeping a high-performance manufacturing environment running at its best. You’ll work alongside maintenance, engineering, and production teams to troubleshoot equipment, improve reliability, and support automation systems across the facility. What you’ll do: • Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues on production equipment • Diagnose equipment faults and restore systems safely and efficiently • Support PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motors, drives, and control systems • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation • Partner with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability • Identify recurring problems and recommend long-term solutions • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures Why this opportunity stands out: This is more than a maintenance role. • 3+ years of industrial automation, controls, electrical, or maintenance experience
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with sensors, motors, drives, and industrial control equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
